Jaime is a business administrator from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, with more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry.

Over the past five years, he has held several leadership roles at the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) in Miami, including Training Committee Coordinator, after previously leading the association’s Aviation Fuel Committee, Airport Charges area, and Environment Committee. He also served as ALTA’s Special Projects Manager for four years.

Earlier in his career, Jaime held senior positions at Colombia’s Civil Aviation Authority under three different administrations, serving as Secretary of Operational Systems, Chief Financial Officer, and Project Manager for the construction of the second runway at Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport. He also spent seven years at IATA’s regional office in Miami as User Charges Manager and five years with American Airlines in Colombia as Controller and Sales Manager.

A lifelong aviation enthusiast, Jaime has a particular passion for commercial aviation history, air transport policy, and airports, with a special focus on Colombia and Latin America. He currently serves as Vice President of the Colombian Academy of Aviation History.
